Goshen Health System Benefits


As a Goshen Health System Colleague, you will become eligible for benefits the first of the month following your date of employment.


Medical: Three plan options-PPO Gold, PPO Silver or a High Deductible Health Plan.


Prescription: Coverage for prescription drugs.


Dental: Coverage for basic and major services as well as orthodontia.


Vision: Coverage for exams, lenses, frames or contacts and LASIK surgery.


Long Term Care: Three options are available, including coverage for you or specified family members.


Retirement/401(k) Savings Plan: Prepare for your retirement through your own contributions and an employer match up to 2%.


Legal: Legal coverage and financial guidance to assist you in such things as family/domestic matters, purchasing a home and preparing a will


Short and Long Term Disability: Eligibility takes affect the first of the month following 90 days of employment and provides consistent benefit protection when you are unable to work due to illness or injury. This benefit is for full time Colleagues only.


Life Insurance: Basic coverage paid by Goshen Health System, with additional coverage options available to better protect your family


Flexible Spending Accounts: Two accounts – one for health care expenses and another for dependent care – let you put money aside from your before tax pay to cover expected out of pocket medical and day care costs during the year.


Tuition Reimbursement: Eligibility for full-time Colleagues after 90 days of employment. Part-time colleagues eligible after six months of employment.


Cancer Policy: Optional cancer insurance policy provides coverage in the event of a cancer diagnosis. Benefit dollars are paid directly to the colleague to assist with associated expenses.


Auto/Homeowners Policies: Colleagues may purchase auto and homeowners insurance at group rates through MetLife using payroll deduction.


Short Term/Long Term Disability Benefits for Part-Time Colleagues only: Consistent benefit protection when you are unable to work due to illness or injury.


529 College Savings Plan: A voluntary benefit for the 529 college savings plan.


PTO: Paid Time Off (PTO) policy to give Colleagues more control and flexibility over his/her own time off.


Payroll Deduction: Payroll deduction for your family’s hospital bills.


Employee Assistance Program (EAP): No cost, confidential counseling services for you and your dependents.


Fitness: The opportunity to purchase annual memberships to the Goshen College Gingerich Recreation-Fitness Center, with corporate discount programs available for other fitness centers.


Child Care Voucher Program: The Child Care Voucher Program is specifically designed to help Colleagues pay for child care related to their Goshen Health System work schedule.
